"it's hot up in this traila!"

-jamie

It really is... funny, seeing how a few weeks ago, I was sitting in my dorm room FREEZING. But now, I'm at home (no, I don't live in a trailer... not that there's anything wrong with that). I came home 'cause my parents had this get together for the college students that go to my church. It was nice... however, it made me think about a few things. First of all, all the pretty girls go to either Furman or North Greenville, and they go to my church... unless they are from the Lambda Theta chapter of ALpha Kappa ALpha. Secondly, my parents treat OTHER college kids better than they treat me! Thirdly, it made me realize that it is REALLY almost over... my career as an undergrad is just about gone. I don't know the ages of these kids or where they are in their matriculation, but I figured since I am at the end of my junior year, I am probably older than most of them. Sad. Yet exciting... yet sad again... 3 years in college so far and no r-thingy (don't worry, I'm not gonna delve into that mess).

It's all good though. Anyway, like I said last night, I am writing to tell you what happened. Karen and I went over to this guy named Daniel's apartment. My roomie from last year, Todd, invited me over. All I have to say about Todd is, THAT is a good friend. I am tellin' you what. Even after living with me for a year, he thinks the world of me. He ALWAYS tells people that I am the best roommate that he has ever had. Last night, he made me feel so good. He was retelling some of last years events over in 421 B Stadium Suites to Karen. He never said one thing bad about me. Just said that I am one of the coolest guys that he knows and that he respects me a lot. Well, I think the same way about Todd. Really, one of the most genuine friends that I have... Ironically enough, he isn't in band, my major, or KKPsi... and I hardly ever see him... think about that...

Anyway, Kate came over and we decided to go to Huddle. So, we picked Deni up and went over there. We had a good night. Nothing exciting really happened... but it was so good to hang out with Todd. And as always, I love hanging out with Kate and Deni. And then Karen... LOVE Karen. All I have to say is that I wish her the best of luck in the next couple of weeks and months. She's got some big decisions to make. Karen, I'm still your "ish buddy" and I am more than willing to sit on the bakc of a trailer and drink Skyy Blue with you and discuss the direction (or lack, thereof) of our lives. I love you, Karen!
