Yep... you know when the title of an entry is something completely random that I am about to rip it apart and tell how you can live your life by thinking in terms of it...
So, I was at the gym with Kate and she is having me run a mile and a half each time we go. Well, I am not a runner... AT ALL. But, what Kate has been having me do has done TONS for me. Not only do I look better, but I FEEL better about myself. She has helped and motivated me so much... even though I call her a drill sargeant and sometimes a bitch, she has helped me tons. THANKS KATE! I LOBE YOU!
Anyway, I digress... So, I normally run on the treadmill. It's easier for me. But tonight, ALL the treadmills were taken... "REAL HARD," as Sammie says. So, we had to go to the track. A mile is approximately 10 laps or something like that. So, she told me to run 15. And, I started out. Well, I got done with 3 and just HAD to stop... but I was determined not to wuss out. So, I started just walking briskly... one lap. Then, when that lap was done, I started running again... one lap. I did this for the rest of our time at the track. I ran so much that I forgot how much I had actually done, but I know that it was more than 15. I was proud.
All this mean is, you have to set small goals... achieveable goals. The reason we as people get upset so much is because sometimes we set ourselves up for disappointment. Like Al Sharpton... that man KNOWS that he will NOT be President. Why the hell is he trying... LOL... just kidding. Good luck, Al... maybe this Al will win since the other did, but the dimpled chads stole the race from him... ANYWAY, I digress again. Achieveable goals are the type of goals we should all set for ourselves. These goals can build up to achieving even greater goals... My goals for right now are to complete my math and PE projects... REAL HARD. Geez... they actually seem like big goals right now, but in essence, they are just little goals that will lead up to the big goal of GETTING DONE WITH THIS SEMESTER (so ready)!
Okay, recap... Running laps = setting small goals that are achievable... ooh... elaborative rehearsal... GO ME!
